Am I A Candidate?

The CoolSculpting® procedure can help both women and men get rid of those stubborn bulges. The non-invasive treatment works on those pesky love handles that nobody really loves and even that double chin you see in the mirror every morning. CoolSculpting® is ideal for individuals within 30 lbs of their ideal weight with areas of excess fat. CoolSculpting® is different than weight loss. The number of fat cells in our bodies typically becomes a fixed number sometime in our teenage years. Losing or gaining weight generally does not increase or decrease the number of fat cells. Instead, it changes the size of the fat cells. The CoolSculpting® fat-freezing procedure reduces the number of fat cells in treated areas by about 20% to 25%. These fat cells are naturally processed and eliminated from the body leading to long-term results.

How Does It Work?

The CoolSculpting® procedure reduces the number of fat cells in the treated areas. CoolSculpting® technology safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the skin itself unaffected. Treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you. Typically, clients first notice results around two months after treatment. Sculpting can continue for up to four months after a session.

How Safe is CoolSculpting®?

In the US, the CoolSculpting® procedure is FDA-cleared for the treatment of visible fat bulges in the submental area, thigh, abdomen, and flank, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll), and upper arm. It is also FDA-cleared to affect the appearance of lax tissue with submental area treatments.

Our specialists have undergone in-depth training and certification to ensure your safety. CoolSculpting® treatments are performed in our medical office under the supervision of an SCD physician to guarantee the highest standards of care.
